چکیده
Irano-Turanian floristic region in Turkey appears to be the center of origin Crepis foetida subsp. rhoeadiflolia (Asteraceae). In this study, karyotype and flow cytometric analyses six populations C. were performed. The cytogenetic characteristics using multivariate (cluster analysis, principal components analysis) evaluated a cytogeographic context. Two main groups are found based on among distribution pattern. significant differences mainly concern long length chromosome, centromeric index, genome size. ecological evolutionary value data discussed within framework results obtained.

MEIOTIC STUDIES OF SOME AVENA SPECIES AND POPULATIONS IN IRAN
Eleven populations of five Avena species were analysed for meiotic characters including chiasma frequency and distribution as well as chromosomal association and segregation. Plants of a single population of A. eriantha showed the presence of 2n = 14 (diploid) and 2n = 4x = 28 chromosome number. Populations of A. barbata and A. wiestii possessed n = 14, while populations of A. sterilis ssp. lud...

The present paper deals with meiotic studies in 15 species belonging to 6 genera of the tribe Cichorieae from various localities of Western Himalayas. The chromosome number has been reported for the first time in Hieracium crocatum (2n = 10) and Lactuca lessertiana (2n = 2x = 16). Further, intraspecific variability has been reported for the first time in H. umbellatum (2n = 2x = 10 and 2n = 6x ...
